In the Streaming Everything series, I am exploring the process of accumulation, saturation, and transformation as we navigate world that is infused with artifice and speeds towards an uncertain future. I splice and grafts organic forms, creating new hybrid shapes and objects that float effortlessly, suspended in imagined spaces and defying laws of gravity. What happens when accumulation, overexposure, layering and compression obviate clarity? This work seeks to express a moment in time, a snapshot of the larger realm of accelerated and multi-channel verbal and visual communication that we encounter daily.
The supermoon is composed of compressed aggregated images compiled from hash tag: #supermoon. These are shared images in shared space: Instagram is shared social space, and so is the sky, and city street. The “instaverse” image become communal compressions of multiple expressions, by circumscribing the multiple into the singular.
